If you’ve been reading this blog for any length of time, you know I love to travel and I love to eat. But when we’re going places, what are we carrying?
Over the past couple years, a favorite style in my wardrobe has been the Ferragamo Studio bag.

I own the small and find it to be the perfect size. It holds all the essentials I could want with room to spare. My essentials usually include sunglasses, iphone, keys, ibuprofen, scrunchie, cough drops, charger, hand sanitizer, lip balm, wallet, and gum or mints.

This won’t fill the bag, so if your essentials list is longer than mine, no worries.
Although spacious enough for a busy day, I don’t feel out of place carrying this bag into the evening. It works for a brunch or a dinner moment and I’ve carried it to both. In fact, the versatility of this piece is probably the top reason I reach for it so often.

While this bag comes with a detachable, crossbody strap I find it a little too structured to comfortably carry against my body. However, when styling this bag I find the lines of it lend themselves more toward being handheld anyway.

I love that visually this bag looks great with the lock closure both done and undone. Because of this, I often leave the bag unlocked for easier access. The tapered shape of this bag means hand carrying essentially closes the bag with or without the lock.
The bag is constructed of smooth calfskin as well as being leather lined. If you’ve never owned a smooth leather bag, be aware that they are more delicate. Conditioning the bag can reduce the visibility of surface scratches but over time wear and tear will show. If you like a no-fuss bag, consider the grained leather variation instead. For me, the smooth and glossy finish sealed the deal.

Overall, this bag has a lot of hits and very few misses. It’s a staple in my wardrobe and I’d absolutely recommend it. Would you consider giving Ferragamo a try?
